In October 2026, I will cycle approximately 980 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in 7 days to raise vital funds and awareness for the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
But this is only the beginning. Project Purpose is about building a legacy that inspires, unites and creates real change.

My name is Peter Harwood. I am 23 years old and currently serve in the Royal Navy, based in Scotland. I have always wanted to challenge myself mentally and physically, but I wanted this challenge to mean more than simply crossing a finish line.
Project Purpose was created to bring people together through endurance challenges that support charities, inspire resilience and create a legacy.
